About

I am currently a third year English student at Bournemouth University. This blog aims to incorporate the debates surrounding journalism, and my interests within it.

Being given this as an assignment for my News and Journalism unit, and having to write at least 8 blog posts did not seem daunting at the time of being told what I had to do. However, writing about the issues inside of journalism is a challenge in itself as its such a broad topic to cover. I have tried to focus my blog primarily on digital journalism, social media; with a hint of feminism thrown in the mix. I hope that although all my posts do have something in common, my blog does have some written diversity.

Previously, I have briefly done some work experience with Licklist, an app and website which, in a nutshell, is a directory of nightclubs; but also an interactive site where people are able to post their experiences. I was able to work remotely from home, writing and submitting articles on festivals, and nightlife in the UK and abroad. Work experience is extremely vital in this competitive sector, and I hope to have the opportunity to get some hands on work in the near future.
